SURGICAL DEPARTMENT

The Department of General Surgery has been one of the largest department, provides a wide range of surgical interventions both specialized and non-specialized to patients. Our surgeon’s works with considerations of good surgical outcome with minimal cost to accommodate the needs of our patients who most of them have no health insurance or comes from low economic families. We are dedicated to see high standard surgical care and use of technology in our department. Our department also provides opportunity to learn and build capacity to medical students, interns and residents from collages surrounding our hospital and from outside Ifakara.
